Hello
I’m Janell Morse, a Certified Medical Assistant, Birth Doula, Community Breastfeeding Specialist, and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist. I’m passionate about supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, helping them feel confident and cared for along the way.
Since earning my Medical Assistant certification in 2004, I’ve spent over 20 years providing compassionate, knowledgeable care to expectant and new parents. My approach is centered on the belief that every birth is unique, and every family deserves support tailored to their needs. Whether I’m offering hands-on guidance as a birth doula, supporting postpartum recovery, or creating placenta encapsulation or art, my goal is to help families feel informed, empowered, and supported at every stage.
I’m honored to walk alongside families as they welcome their little ones with confidence and peace.
My Story
My journey into the medical field began in 2004 when I became a Medical Assistant, working for a large OB/GYN practice in St. Louis, MO. In 2011, life brought me back to my hometown of Hillsdale, MI, where I was blessed to expand my family through the adoption of two beautiful children.
My path as a doula began unexpectedly but with deep purpose. A dear friend once asked if I had ever considered becoming a doula, and before I knew it, I was by her side, supporting her through the birth of her fourth child. That experience in 2011 ignited a passion within me, and I knew this was the work I was meant to do.
Now, after 21 years of marriage, my husband and I have built a life filled with love, raising four of our five children in the home where my grandfather grew up. Being a doula is so much more than a profession—it’s a calling. I believe in sharing knowledge, fostering confidence, and empowering families as they embark on their unique birth journeys. It is an absolute honor to walk alongside parents during this transformative experience, offering support, reassurance, and care in one of life’s most profound moments.
