Hello
I’m Janell Morse—a Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Birth Doula, and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist with a passion for helping families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. Since earning my Medical Assistant certification in 2004, I’ve dedicated over 20 years to providing knowledgeable, compassionate care to expectant and new parents.
My approach is rooted in the belief that every birth is unique, and every family deserves personalized support tailored to their needs. Whether I’m offering hands-on assistance as a birth doula, sharing guidance on postpartum recovery, or preparing placenta encapsulation for nourishment and healing, my goal is to ensure you feel informed, empowered, and cared for every step of the way.
I live in Hillsdale, MI, with my wonderful husband and our four amazing children. I’m honored to walk this journey with families, providing the support they need to welcome their little ones with confidence and peace.
My Story
My journey into the medical field began in 2004 when I became a Medical Assistant, working for a large OB/GYN practice in St. Louis, MO. In 2011, life brought me back to my hometown of Hillsdale, MI, where I was blessed to expand my family through the adoption of two beautiful children.
My path as a doula began unexpectedly but with deep purpose. A dear friend once asked if I had ever considered becoming a doula, and before I knew it, I was by her side, supporting her through the birth of her fourth child. That experience in 2011 ignited a passion within me, and I knew this was the work I was meant to do.
Now, after 21 years of marriage, my husband and I have built a life filled with love, raising four of our five children in the home where my grandfather grew up. Being a doula is so much more than a profession—it’s a calling. I believe in sharing knowledge, fostering confidence, and empowering families as they embark on their unique birth journeys. It is an absolute honor to walk alongside parents during this transformative experience, offering support, reassurance, and care in one of life’s most profound moments.
