I’m Makynna Reed, a certified birth and postpartum doula passionate about supporting mothers and families through the incredible journey of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. My heart is in postpartum care, ensuring that new parents feel nurtured, confident, and well-supported as they adjust to life with their newborn.
Bringing a baby into the world is a beautiful, transformative experience—but it also comes with challenges. I’m here to offer compassionate guidance, emotional reassurance, and hands-on support so you can focus on bonding with your baby while feeling cared for yourself. Whether you need help with newborn care, feeding support, emotional well-being, or just an extra set of hands, I’m honored to walk alongside you in this special season of life.

My Story
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been in awe of babies and the incredible miracle of new life. That fascination only grew stronger as I got older, and fresh out of high school, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I began my training with Lifespan Doula, diving deep into the amazing ways our bodies are designed to support, give birth to, and nurture a new life. Every step of this journey has been a joy, and I’ve loved every moment of learning and growing in this calling.
Motherhood is one of the most beautiful, transformative, and challenging experiences a woman can go through. I’m deeply passionate about walking alongside mothers as they navigate the transition into parenthood—offering support, reassurance, and guidance in those life-changing moments of bringing a little one home.
I live in Hudson, MI, with my wonderful family and our two dogs, and I feel truly honored to do this work.
