Hello

Hi, I’m Amey Little — a Birth Doula, Birth Photographer, and Certified Lactation Specialist. My journey into birth work began long before any certification or training. It started in 1999 when I became a mother for the very first time. I’m now the proud mother of three boys and one girl, and being a mother remains my greatest blessing and most meaningful accomplishment.
Shortly after my first son was born, I remember lying in my hospital bed, gazing at his tiny face and counting his tiny little toes, wondering how I could possibly leave him with someone else in just six short weeks. In that moment, I knew I would be leaving corporate America to begin a new career as a stay-at-home mom. Motherhood completely changed my life and gave me a deep appreciation for the strength, beauty, and purpose found in caring for and nurturing new life.
Breastfeeding quickly became one of my favorite parts of motherhood. I loved the sweet connection it created, along with the nutritional and financial benefits it provided for my family. As my children got older, I was given the opportunity to return to the workforce as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor at the Hillsdale WIC office. It was the perfect fit and allowed me to combine my personal experience with my passion for supporting other women.
Since becoming a Certified Lactation Specialist in 2020, I have helped hundreds of women reach their breastfeeding goals. Through my work, I’ve learned that every pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey comes with unique joys, challenges, and uncertainties. I believe women deserve compassionate support, evidence-based education, and someone who will walk beside them without judgment.
My Story

As I worked with more mothers, I could clearly see the growing need for additional emotional and physical support during pregnancy and birth. Becoming a doula was a natural next step for me. There is truly nothing more powerful than being able to tell a woman, “You are not alone. I’m here to help. Lean on me. You are strong enough. I’ve got your back.” Then moments later, witnessing her baby enter the world — it’s absolutely breathtaking every single time.
I’m passionate about helping women embrace their identity as mothers and feel confident in the incredible work their bodies were designed to do. Through doula care, birth photography, and lactation support, I strive to help families feel seen, supported, educated, and deeply loved throughout their journey.
I’m incredibly grateful to play a small part in building and supporting growing families, surrounding them with love and encouragement every step of the way. I truly believe we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
